Pacific Jewel was back again for a third visit this year, picture as it is just about to leave at 6:00 tonight.

The Port Lincoln Racing Club is again holding the annual Port Lincoln Cup.
It is held this Friday 6th of March and is a very big feature on the Eyre Peninsula sporting calendar!

A slightly bigger boat visiting today. The P & O cruise ship “Pacific Jewel” is visiting Port Lincoln today. It is on a 5 day cruise from Sydney to Adelaide where it will finish tomorrow. It carries about 2000 passengers and 500 to 600 crew.

The first 2 yachts got in just after 9 this morning, first over the line was “Secretmensbusiness” followed by “Scarlet Runner” half an hour later. As it was very calm this morning and overnight no records were broken this year and the front runners were disappointed with the time.

The Adelaide Port Lincoln Yacht race is on again, starting on Friday the 20th from Adelaide. They yachts will leave Adelaide at 3:PM and the first boat is expected in Port Lincoln early on Saturday morning. A whole week of regatta will follow afterwards here in Port Lincoln.
